'ORPHEU

Sunday October 24, 2010

The moon casts it’s silver light across the patio and I’m sitting on the stairs, outside, in the coldest of the nights. We talk to each other on a gentle note about our violent life and I can’t stop shivering from the deep numbness caused by the wind. Neither one of us wants to break even and the lyrics for ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ echo in my mind like steps in my empty room.

I’m a simple man with a simple wish but the cold silver night chuckles upon my very own confused little mind. After she hung the phone, I take a deep plunge into the emptiness of my solitude and I stop shaking. The growls of vagabond dogs can be heard from a far but it’s the sound of her crying that scares and hurts me the most.
